If you have recently been shopping, I am sure you noticed in every store that the lace is a must have for the spring summer 2012. Whether we talk about blouses, dresses, skirts or T-shirts, the lace prints are everywhere. My personal opinion: I love it, as it creates a feminine and a little bit vintage look and you know that I’m all about girly and feminine outfits.
So I thought I would show you my personal suggestions on how to wear lace prints outfits. The first one is related to a glam-rock style and I suggest wearing it only for clubbing or similar activities. Get a lace dress and throw a leather motorcycle jacket over and there you have it. If you switch clubs and you need a more fancier look, just drop the jacket.

If you’re not that much into lace, just choose a lacy touch for a guaranteed effect.

You can also wear lace for a retro-glam look, but I would suggest this only if it suits your personality. If you’re the rebel kind, or the futuristic type, don’t choose such an outfit as you won’t feel comfortable at all. I always say that if an outfit doesn’t match your personality it doesn’t matter how modern it is.

However trendy lace is, please don’t wear it on your tights like the lady below. It gives a trashy aspect to the outfit and I don’t think this is the message you would like to send.

The way I see things, lace is for evening outfits or for special occasions. If you have a lace blouse for example, wear it with some boyfriend jeans and a cotton blazer for a casual day outfit. And remember, the lace is already an accessory, so don’t burden your outfit with lots and lots of other accesories.
So, don’t forget, don’t try to be cool, try to be yourself!
