Au masculin ou au feminin? I say both :)

Initially, this lovely post should have seen the day light (or screen light, literally speaking) earlier this week, as I started working on it last Sunday. But, as the mini-technicus that I am I managed to delete everything I wrote on Sunday (I still don’t know how I did that) so here I am, writing the post from 0. Hopefully this time I get to publish it, too :)
I was telling you in one of my early posts that I want to dedicate a particular article to bow ties. And now the time has come to do that. And to please both the lovely gentlemen and ladies who are reading my mental wanderings and aberrations I will treat this subject for both parties involved :)
But ladies, first…what did you expect?! My opinion is that not everybody can wear a bow tie, regardless of the gender. For ladies, I only see the bow tie as an accessory to an urban outfit. My view on the situation:
- boyfriend jeans – source:www. coolspotters.com
- white shirt – source: http://www.tarafashion.ro
- cheerful bow tie – source: http://www.swaggerandswoon.com
- aand painted shoes from my favourite shoe store – source: http://www.hotstepper.ro

It kind of looks like this:
Inside information and top secret: tomorrow I’m getting these cuties up here (the shoes, of course), but with a different message on them. I can’t wait to tell you about them after I try them on :)
I don’t know if you were aware (I wasn’t, of course) that there are multiple types of bow ties:
- the narrow bow tie (like the one above)
- the western string bow tie
- the oversized bow tie
 - the crossover bow tie
- aaand, wait for it, the Kentucky Colonel bow tie
My personal favourite is the classic one and in some special situations, probably the Kentucky Colonel bow tie and only in the outfit I presented above.
And now, for the fashionable men who are reading my posts, don’t worry I didn’t forget you :) . I know some of you may wear a bow tie only at a very special and fancy event. But if you choose one of these two bow ties, I would suggest wearing them with a simple shirt (not necessarily white, but in the tones of the bow tie), a pair of jeans and some Converse shoes and there you have the outfit for a night out.
You may think the second one is quite an eccentric option, but it’s not, at least not in my view. BUT, whatever you do, don’t go for the cartoon print bow tie (you might remember my post on ties, so you may understand where I am going with this). Now, I rest my case and I’m going to treat myself with a nice glass of wine and chat with a special friend of mine ;)
Don’t forget, don’t try to be cool, try to be yourself! :)
P.S. Have a lovely and warm Easter with your beloved ones!
